Teresa has over 35 years of experience as a health and fitness professional. In addition to teaching academic courses in the Exercise and Sports Studies Department at Austin College since 1999, she has worked as a clinical exercise physiologist in cardiac rehabilitation, corporate wellness fitness specialist and is a commercial health club owner/operator (Nautilus Family Fitness Sherman, Nautilus West, Nautilus Paris).

As a continuing education provider for the American Council on Exercise and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, Teresa has presented educational workshops and trained health and fitness professionals internationally, including presentations at conventions in Asia, South Africa, and throughout Europe; nationally, at some of America’s most well-respected health and fitness conventions such as SCW Fitness and Empower Fitness conventions; and locally at fitness clubs in DFW Metroplex including the world-renowned Cooper Fitness Center at the Cooper Institute, Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center, Lifetime Fitness, and The Sports Club at Four Seasons, to name a few.

She holds a Masters of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of North Texas, Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and several nationally recognized fitness certifications.
